Stillness is the Key

“Stillness is the Key” by Ryan Holiday came at a perfect time for me. Reading this book has given me the confidence to feel comfort in contentment. I don’t have to strive always. It’s okay to be. I’ll likely make a more virtuous impact if I take time to think, reflect and appreciate the life I’m living.

I am content. I have everything I need. I spend days walking in the forest, thinking, laughing, writing, playing.

The electronic tools we enjoy are powered by the sun. The warm coziness I feel is thanks to old trees. The wisdom I seek provided by the forests, mountains, rivers and ocean. The currency we use is gained through honest contributions, helping people feel the beauty in simplicity and nature.

I have envisioned this place of balance for years, now I’ve realized it. I’m happy, content, satisfied, grateful. It feels good.

The question is “what do I do now?” I feel my mind churning on this question. How do I share this? How can I help other people find a similar place of peace? I feel responsibility to teach, more share than teach though. I want to share and learn with people. I feel weird when I find myself professing or preaching. So, the practice is to learn and share as I learn. Be open, have fun and don’t forget to be.
